My name is Gemma Rio, and I am the Founder and Director of Coral & Crown.

With over 18 years of experience in tourism strategy and destination marketing in both the UK and Australia, I have dedicated my career to helping businesses and destinations thrive.

I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in tourism strategy, destination marketing, event attraction, and partnership formation. My international experience has equipped me with a unique perspective and diverse skillset.

My experience includes working in roles of:

• Head of Tourism for North Yorkshire Council

• Head of Destination Harrogate for Harrogate Borough Council

• Tourism Manager for the Tees Valley Combined Authority

• Director of Marketing, Membership & Business Development for Townsville Enterprise (Northern Australia)

I have also worked in visitor attraction marketing for some leading national brands including English Heritage and the National Railway Museum.
